Terms of Service

Effective October 29, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and grailworth ("we", "us"), which is run by an individual based in Illinois, USA. They cover the website at grailworth.com and the grailworth Pro membership (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Who can use grailworth

You must be at least 13 years old to use grailworth. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or legal guardian's permission to use it, and they need to agree to these terms for you, including for any purchase.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your Google sign-in secure. An account is for one person; don't share it or sell access to it. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.

3. grailworth Pro

Some of the service, including fair market values, value history, the grading break-even, and your collection, is available only to grailworth Pro members.

4. Who you pay

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Dodo Payments sells you the membership, takes the payment, and handles customer service inquiries and returns about the payment. Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms apply to those purchases alongside these terms.

5. Values are estimates

grailworth's fair market values are estimates made by our own models from public sales data. They are not appraisals, offers to buy or sell, or financial or investment advice, and a comic's real value depends on things we can't see, like its actual condition, its pedigree and who's buying. Values can be wrong, out of date or missing. Don't rely on them alone when buying, selling, insuring or grading a comic. The same goes for the grading tools: they help you think about a copy's condition and the cost of grading, but only a grading company can grade it.

6. Using grailworth fairly

You agree not to:

7. What's ours and what's yours

The service, including its software, design, values and data compilations, belongs to us and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use it under these terms.

Comic titles, characters and cover art belong to their publishers and creators. Cover images come from Metron under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. grailworth isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any publisher, grading company (such as CGC, CBCS, PGX, EGS or PSA) or marketplace (such as eBay, Heritage or Whatnot) named on it.

The collection you add (your copies, grades, prices paid and notes) is yours. You let us store and process it to run the service for you, as our Privacy Policy describes.

8. Suspending or ending your use

You can stop using grailworth at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the service, or if we have to for legal reasons. If we end your access without cause, we'll refund the unused part of any membership you paid for. We may also discontinue the service; if we do, we'll give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any current membership.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost sales or decisions made using values from the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

If you use the service in breach of these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Please contact us first at [email protected]: most problems can be solved that way. If you're a consumer living outside the United States, you keep any protections the law of your country gives you, and you may also bring claims in your local courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using it.

14. Everything else

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to whoever takes over grailworth. These terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
